Performing songs in a gospel vocal style, featuring material that people may not expect, our repertoire is a varied range of upbeat pop & soul blended with examples of classic gospel. WCGC is a choir that draws on the tradition of gospel singing producing music that is contemporary and relevant to modern day tastes. We create music that appeals to people from all backgrounds and ages.

You don't have to be religious to sing in our choir - in fact you don't even have to be from Wakefield! A number of our members regularly travel to rehearsals and performances from many other parts of West Yorkshire. They do it for the joy of performing great music and for the love of singing.
